A replica of an earthen ocarina from the early Yayoi period that was excavated in 1966 at the ruins of Ayaragi-no-Godaichi in Yamaguchi prefecture. It is basically the same as the Chinese xun. The instrument elicits a soft hooting sound. The model was made by Matsuoka Toshiyuki of Shimonoseki.
