Application for the Emergency Student Support Program for “Continuing Education” by the Japanese Government (second round)(We cannot accept any application after the deadline.)

2020.07.07 | ALL, STUDENT

To Students:

It has been decided that the second round of application will open for the Emergency Student Support Benefit Program to support students who are experiencing financial difficulties to continue their studies due to such a drop in income of part-time jobs caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.

Eligible students who wish to apply for this program must apply through the university. The university will then confirm their eligibility and recommend them to the Japan Student Service Organization (JASSO).

After the final screening by the government, 100,000 Yen (200,000 Yen for the students of a household exempted from resident tax) will be awarded.

Only those who couldn’t submit their application documents during the first application period due to the shortage of time are eligible to apply for this round. Those who have already applied for the first round (successful/unsuccessful applicants and those who are on the waiting list) can’t re-apply for this time.

Please check the application guidebook for details of eligibility and required documents.

[Eligibility]
Japanese students, permanent residents etc. (regular students in the undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as Practical Music Course)

* Those who are taking a leave of absence from school (as well as those who are planning) can also apply.

* Those who are receiving/applying for any other scholarships or benefits can also apply.
